On this page are a group of my very own short films. Besides from the small videos I made that are experimental and amateur, I took on the challenge of creating actual movie-like projects with storylines and fictional characters. Making the short films gives me the opportunity to put my skills to the test in order to achieve a degree of professionalism that is used to create big shot featured films. To have the patience and commitment to brainstorm and perfect the story of the movie, both on camera and on script. Despite not having all the necessary tools to make a professionally made short film, I learn how to improvise with my resources and surroundings and combine random elements to makes the creativity of my work become real. Every short film I made, I had help from only very few people who participated in my films and assisted me in producing them. This enabled me to direct, produce, write, edit, record and coordinate the film altogether. Because of that, I am experienced in an array of fields of filming.

Lego Shifter
This is my very first short film I created in my home during my sophomore year of high school. It’s a stop-motion film called Lego Shifter, that shows a black Lego brick transforming into several shapes and sizes of different colors, where I took 3000 pictures within six months to create it. At the time, I was fascinated with stop-motion animation, especially with Legos. Knowing that stop-motion is a form of art, I made the short film to explore that art that I was capable of mastering. Like all my other first-time video creations, this short film is amateur and not properly made, but it presents the extent of my hard work.

The Sorcerer’s Journal
This is my second short film I created at the end of my time in Madison Media Institute. It’s a fantasy drama film called The Sorcerer’s Journal, where a young man Edwin discovers an old journal notebook with a life force of its own that communicates with him through written words and Edwin tries to learn of its origins. This film is actually my final exam for my college, where the goal was to make a movie-like project that shows every skill I learned, ranging from script writing to camera work to special effects. It was amateurly made and I was still remembering how to do everything right, but I did the best with my skills to make a modest but interesting story.

Stalking Shadow
This is my third short film I created after graduating from Madison Media Institute. It’s a drama horror thriller called Stalking Shadow, where a mysterious masked stalker follows a young man Zack wherever he goes and by fighting the stalker’s threat, Zack makes a chilling discovery about the stalker’s identity. This film is where I first got to use extensive costume and makeup designing and where I used commitment and coordinating to have the film completed within a month. Like the second film, Stalking Shadow is amateurly made with many little movie mistakes but had some good sequences of action, suspense and effect.
