On this page are several media projects I’ve worked on throughout the years, where I studied many aspects of videography and developed various kinds of projects with various themes and concepts in order to improve and reveal the extent of my filming skills. Some of these projects are school assignments I made during my time at Madison Media Institute. Most of these projects I made at home or with other people after graduating from the college, where I continued to practice my skills and learn new techniques that helped my media work to be more professionally made and more creative.
Into the Saberlands
This is one of my own Star Wars fan videos. It’s the first video where I used the Saber plugin special effect. This scene is from a martial arts TV series, Into the Badlands, which is one of my favorite shows. Because I am a Star Wars fan and because I found Into the Badlands to be enthralling, I put together a video with a clever idea to combine two stories that share a common theme in swordplay.

Into the Saberlands Part 2
This is another one of my own Star Wars fan videos and a second lightsaber-style adaptation to the martial arts TV series Into the Badlands. Because of the positive comments I’ve gotten from people on YouTube about my first fan video, I was inspired to make another video to capture the attention of other internet viewers and bring a special concept to the TV series.

Moonfall End Credit Versions
This project is a recreation of the end credits of the Roland Emmerich movie Moonfall. Because of the glitching effect and the uplifting song within it, I think the end credits is captivating and stylish and it sounds like a send-off for heroes and their journeys. Because I respect Emmerich and his work, I imagined what his other movies would look like with the same end credits as Moonfall. I went on After Effects and created a glitching effect that looks similar to the end credits and learned how to imitate the movements of the text. The three videos seen below are one of Emmerich’s well-known movies that have the Moonfall version end credits.

Being Inverted
This is a project I worked on, where I took still scenes with a lot of movement and used a simple special effect to make them go backwards. The idea was to create the mesmerizing effect of what time looks like when it’s going backwards. And to make it look like I have superpowers, such as telekinesis.

Amateur Nature Documentary
This video is an amateur nature documentary. It is one of my school projects during my time at Madison Media Institute, where the goal was to film in the area around the school to capture images of anything natural and make it into a documentary. With good editing and heartfelt music, this video was considered compelling and well-made by my instructors.

Ad Promo Experiment #1
This is another school project from Madison Media Institute. I made an advertising promo by using six pictures of movie characters and superimposing them on surfaces and walls of buildings with unrelated fictional titles to represent their roles in a fictional setting called “Street Fighters.” One of the purposes of the project was to learn how to move and change the pictures by size and position and to modify the pictures with a realistic 3D point of view.

Ad Promo Experiment #2
This is a school project where I made a video that looks like a television promo that introduces a company or a group of people that I call “Mind Gala”, who have artistic qualities that are used in making cinematic work. One of the goals of this project was to practice my camera tracking skills and display titles creatively to make the impression of an advertisement for entertainment businesses.

Opening Credits Experiment
This is a school project where I created my very own opening credit sequence. To make it compelling and cinematic, I was set on using a science fiction theme, which I consider to be my favorite genre. The opening credits is supposed to be an introduction to a space opera-like story called “Andromeda”, where I created entirely fictional actor names, but I used the name of a real filming company and the names of a few renowned people in the filming industry. And the graphics are mostly from pictures in Photoshop, which I used to make the scenery as realistic as possible.

Kinetic Type
This is a school project, where I made my first kinetic type video by learning how to synchronize animation and pictures with lyrics and texts. I was thinking of the song “Lucky I Got What I Want” from the movie Nerve and remembering how catchy it is, and I decided to use it as an example. I took a few of the best parts of the song and synced them with prominent photos of the movie and its characters and graphics to present the depth and feeling of Nerve.

Fortnite Music Video
This is a music video I put together for a friend who plays Fortnite like so many others. The goal was where I watched a couple 3-hour-long recordings of the friend playing his character in Fortnite and I searched extensively for parts with the most action with shooting, fighting, chasing and winning and put them together with a royalty free music with a theme that fits well with the zoomer-based reality of Fortnite. All that so that the friend could share the video with others on social media.

Transformers Music Video
This is another music video I put together to represent the Michael Bay Transformer movies with a soundtrack used in the opening credits of 1986 Transformers: The Movie, which is the first featured film based on the toy figures. I’ve listened to the soundtrack and I think it’s thrilling, cultural and original and because it’s about the Transformers, it made me think about the Transformer movies and I wondered how the old soundtrack could relate to and represent the same idea of the new movies.

Space Transformers Movie Trailer
This project is a movie trailer I created from an old 1985 animated movie Space Transformers. The movie is unrecognized and unpopular due to its archaic animation, the poor voice acting and the references of other movies within it that are nearly plagiaristic. But because it has an enjoyable story and the music fits well with the theme, Space Transformers is one those “so bad, it’s good” type of movies. I took scenes from the movie and edited them to create a movie trailer and like all movie trailers, the purpose is to catch the attention of anyone who watches it and introduce them to something interesting.

Two and a Half Men Music Compilation
This is a music compilation of all the scenes from Two and a Half Men, where the piano was played by Charlie and other characters. The piano instrument and jingle songs are a recurring element in the story of the series and the scenes show the number of times that the piano was used by characters who sing jingles or other known songs or they play with it just for the fun of the series.

Pineapple Express (TV-14 Version)
This is a video I created by recording the movie Pineapple Express on the TV and capturing the censored moments on camera. It’s like a compilation of the highlights of the movie where bad language is dubbed over with appropriate words. Even though it’s confusing and boring to watch characters talk with dubbed words that are uneven with their speech, I think it’s really hilarious and it brings a lightened mood to moments of conflict and negativity. And because there’s already a few videos like that, I simply felt like making one of my own for my amusement and for others.
